Goldman Sachs, Amazon launch suite of cloud-based data and analytics solutions

Institutional clients may accelerate time-to-market financial applications.

Goldman Sachs, in partnership with Amazon Web Services, has announced the launch of GS Financial Cloud Data, which offers a suite of cloud-based data and analytics solutions for financial institutions.

GS Financial Cloud for Data is a cloud-native financial data management and analytics solution for hedge funds, asset managers, and other institutional clients.

Through the use of GS Financial Cloud Data, the bank’s institutional clients will reportedly be able to accelerate time to market for financial applications, optimise their resources to focus on portfolio returns, and innovate faster.

The collaboration between GS and AWS aims to reduce the need for investment firms to develop and maintain foundational data-integration technology.

It also lowers the barriers to entry for accessing advanced quantitative analytics across global markets, the joint release said.
