Baiduri Bank launches $2b Euro Medium Term Note programme
It broadens the bank’s reach to international institutional investors.
Brunei-based Baiduri Bank launched a $2b Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme, giving it a platform to access international debt capital markets.
The programme, established on 5 October, allows Baiduri Bank to issue notes from time to time, subject to applicable laws, regulations, and directives.
United Overseas Bank (UOB) is the sole arranger and dealer for the programme.
The programme strengthens the bank’s funding flexibility and diversifies its funding sources, whilst broadening its engagement with international institutional investors.
It is expected to contribute to the development of Brunei’s financial sector by increasing the visibility of local institutions amongst global fixed-income investors.
Ti Eng Hui, CEO of Baiduri Bank, said the EMTN programme will support its future funding needs as it advances its growth strategy.
