Standard Chartered rebrands GBS to Global Capability Centres
GBS operates hubs in China, India, Malaysia, and Poland.
Standard Chartered is retiring its Global Business Services (GBS) name and transitioning it to Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
The name change will be implemented in phases across markets, subject to local requirements and approvals, the bank said in statement on 7 October 2026.
Standard Chartered GCC operates global hubs in China, India, Malaysia and Poland, and employs 21,000 people across these four countries and the Philippines.
Standard Chartered tied the rebrand to the evolving role of these hubs, such as in developing and delivering specialised expertise and enterprise capabilities across the bank.
