NAB denies Islamic home loans are exclusive to Muslim customers

It is available to people of all religions, according to an article by AAP FactCheck.

National Australia Bank (NAB) said that it does not offer interest-free home loans exclusively to a specific customer demographic.

In an article linked by NAB, AAP FactCheck said that whilst the loans are targeted at Muslim people, it is available to people of all religions.

"The claim that NAB offers Islamic-compliant, interest-free home loans exclusively for a particular group of customers is incorrect," an NAB spokesperson told AAP FactCheck.

An Instagram video had reportedly claimed that the Australian bank offers interest-free home loans exclusive to Muslim people.

The loans in question are structured differently from traditional loans but still come at a cost to the borrower, AAP FactCheck said.
