MUFG and Danamon propose Bank MUFG Danamon name for integration

MUFG intends to integrate its Indonesia branch into its subsidiary.

MUFG Bank and PT Bank Danamon Indonesia have proposed the name PT Bank MUFG Danamon Tbk (Bank MUFG Danamon) for the integration of their Indonesian operations.

MUFG Bank intends to integrate its Indonesia branch into its subsidiary Danamon to form a local incorporated bank in the country in accordance with the Indonesian Financial Services Authority’s rules and regulations.

There will be no changes to the business operations of Danamon and MUFG Indonesia until all required approvals are obtained and integration of the two firms’ are completed, MUFG said in a statement on 7 October 2026.

Both banks currently still operate as separate legal entities, and all contractual relationships between Danamon or MUFG Indonesia and their respective contractual counterparties remain unchanged, it said.

MUFG has also unveiled the proposed logo of MUFG Danamon.
