He brings over 21 years of experience in global payments, fintech, and credit cards, including his time leading Square Japan, where he worked closely with banks, card networks, and regulators on merchant acquiring, settlement, and payment infrastructure.
Having lived and worked in Japan for over 14 years, John brings deep, hands‑on knowledge of the Japanese payments ecosystem across acquiring, settlement, and banking infrastructure. He has worked closely with leading Japanese financial institutions and currently focuses on helping banks and payment institutions prepare for the next phase of payments innovation, including the evolution of cross‑border payments through bank‑grade, compliant, and interoperable infrastructure.
