Krungsri’s VC company backs three startups in 2026 as portfolio hits $150m

Whale Technologies has the potential to become a native, enterprise-grade AI platform, Krungsri said.

Bank of Ayudhya’s (Krungsri) corporate venture capital Krungsri Finnovate invested in three startups during the first seven months of 2026.

Qoala Technology, a Singapore-based InsurTech startup, was one of three startups, the bank said in an online statement published on 17 August.

It also invested in Whale Technologies Limited, an enterprise AI platform that analyses visual, audio, customer behavior, and real-time operational data.

“Whale…is one of the few with the potential to become a native, enterprise-grade AI platform—one capable of powering end-to-end, omnichannel products across the entire customer experience journey,” said Palida Artispong, acting managing director at Krungsri Finnovate.

Krungsri Finnovate also invested in US-based startup AlpacaDB, Incorp, a brokerage-as-a-service solution provider that develops wealth management and foreign exchange platforms.

Krungsri Finnovate’s investment portfolio is valued at $150m (THB1b) and spans over 30 startups, including 4 unicorns, the bank said.
