CBA expands rewards program CommBank Yello to home loans and savings
Customers can earn, track, and redeem points for these banking activities beginning 1 October.
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has expanded its loyalty program CommBank Yello to include home loans, savings accounts, and insurance.
Australia-based banking customers can now earn, track, and redeem points within the CommBank app and NetBank with their everyday banking activities and not just credit card spending.
Points can be used on everyday essentials like groceries, utility bills, and fuel, CBA said in a statement on 18 August 2026.
Brands include but are not limited to Woolworths Everyday Rewards, Origin Energy, Myer, Velocity Frequent Flyer, DoorDash, bp, and Qatar Airways, according to Angus Sullivan, Commonwealth Bank group executive, retail banking services.
Other brands included are the CommBank Travel Booking provided by Hoppe and More Telecom.
CommBank Yello eligible customers will be notified beginning 18 August, while the reimagined program will launch on 1 October 2026.
For card customers, CBA said that it is exploring a new premium charge card, with a possible launch date of 2027.
