OCBC deploys agentic AI platform to halve wealth client onboarding time
Bank of Singapore RMs have already began using HELIOS.
OCBC has unveiled its agentic artificial intelligence (AI) platform HELIOS to enhance the accuracy and completeness of wealthy customers’ onboarding.
HELIOS—which stands for Holistic wEalth Lifecycle Insights & Ongoing Surveillance—automates the collection, verification, and assessment of prospective customers’ data, and in turn completes a portion of Know-Your-Customer (KYC) due diligence process before the relationship manager engages with a prospective customer.
RMs in Bank of Singapore, OCBC’s private banking arm, have begun leveraging HELIOS across Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai, with roll-out expected to be completed by Q3 2026.
With HELIOS, account opening can be completed in 15 business days–half the time needed compared to the current industry median of about six weeks, OCBC said.
HELIOS will be extended to the OCBC Premier Private Client customer segment in the consumer banking business by the end of 2026.
