Two in five APAC firms are redesigning key processes around AI
About 41% are rebuilding key processes around the technology versus 28% globally.
Financial services firms in Asia-Pacific (APAC) are moving further into artificial intelligence (AI)-led business transformation, with 34% saying they are using AI to deeply change products, processes and business models.
That compares with 31% of financial services organisations globally, according to Deloitte’s 2026 State of AI in the Enterprise research.
The survey also found that 41% of APAC financial services firms are redesigning key processes around AI, higher than the global share of 28%.
A further 25% of APAC firms reported little or no change to existing processes, compared with 41% globally.
Deloitte said financial services companies are already seeing operational gains from AI.
Around 68% of global financial services organisations reported productivity improvements, whilst 66% said they had reduced labour costs.
Amongst APAC respondents, 48% reported better decision-making and 40% said AI had lowered costs.
However, fewer firms said AI was already having a major revenue impact. Only 18% reported a significant effect on revenue, whilst 75% said they hoped to achieve one.
The findings suggest APAC financial institutions are moving beyond using AI mainly to improve existing operations, with more firms rebuilding processes and business models around the technology.
