Over the past 18 years Bernhard has been advising insurance clients globally across the full spectrum of strategy, operations, capital and risk management. He is co-author of various articles on the broader life insurance agenda, product innovation, customer experience and distribution as well as a regular speaker at insurance industry and company conferences.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Bernhard was a Partner at Oliver Wyman where he led the EMEA Insurance Practice and then the Asia-Pacific Region. He graduated from Harvard Business School and the Vienna School of Business Administration.
