Kelvin Tan
Kelvin Tan is the CEO of audax Financial Technology ('audax'), a corporate venture backed by Standard Chartered Bank, focusing on empowering banks and financial institutions to evolve future proofed business models through the rapid delivery its AI and digital asset ready digital banking platform. Under his leadership, audax has built a strong pipeline of leading banks as clients – such as Maybank and Standard Chartered, helping them unlock new revenue models and drive ROTE through scalable digital transformation.
Before founding audax, Kelvin conceptualised, led, built and delivered Standard Chartered nexus, Standard Chartered’s comprehensive Banking-as-a-Service business. Kelvin has held multiple roles in Standard Chartered, ranging from Transaction Banking to Retail Products and Payments to Strategic Programmes, between 2012 and 2018. In those roles, he has led cross-functional, cross-border teams to deliver multiple capabilities for the bank including Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay in multiple locales and the MyWay program (Singapore’s first silver generation targeted product programme).
