SG's PathFin.ai AI-sharing programme grows to over 300 participants
The initiative aims to lower the cost for smaller financial institutions adopting AI.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore’s (MAS) PathFin.ai programme to share artificial intelligence (AI) solutions has grown to over 300 participants since its launch in August 2025.
“Smaller financial institutions can lower the cost and effort of finding and deploying effective AI solutions,” said MAS Managing Director Chia Der Jiun at the Global FinTech Fest 2026 on 11 September.
The programme was previously reported in October to have brought together more than 80 financial institutions to share their experiences and strategies in using AI.
Its initial use cases covered areas including sales and marketing, customer operations, risk management, and engineering and technology.
“If a solution has been validated and works, we want to make it easier for others to find and implement it,” Chia added.
MAS is also testing AI models with law enforcement and the banking industry, using cross-bank and public-private data to detect suspicious accounts and transactions in near real time.
“The aim is to detect sooner, intervene faster, and reduce losses,” Chia said. “We expect to have findings from this work by the end of this year.”
