Mastercard names Minsook Cho as Singapore Country Manager

She will oversee business operations and strategic direction in the market.

Mastercard has appointed Minsook Cho as Country Manager for Singapore, where she will oversee the group’s business operations and strategic direction.

Cho joined Mastercard in 2013, previously serving as Senior Vice President, Advisors Client Services, Asia Pacific, leading consulting and analytics services across Japan, Korea, China, Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.

She had also held senior roles at Foodpanda, Lazada and Boston Consulting Group before joining Mastercard.

Moreover, she holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University.

The group said that the appointment is in line with Singapore’s efforts to advance digital finance initiatives, including work on tokenisation, artificial intelligence and stablecoin regulation.

Cho’s experience in data and services, together with her understanding of the market, positions her to strengthen intelligence, security and interoperability across the country’s payments ecosystem, said Safdar Khan, Division President, Southeast Asia, Mastercard.
