Singapore and Thailand ink pact on cybersecurity and digital fraud
Their central banks will exchange regulatory and incident updates.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the Bank of Thailand (BOT) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cybersecurity cooperation and digital fraud protection.
Under the MOU, MAS and the BOT will cooperate via information sharing on cybersecurity and digital fraud between the two central banks.
MAS and BOT will exchange regulatory and incident updates and thread intelligence affecting the financial sector.
The two central banks will also hold joint activities such as staff training, study visits, and exchange of research and policy insights to deepen technical collaboration.
MAS and BOT will also conduct joint cross-border cybersecurity and crisis management exercises, they said.
