Bank of East Asia officially opens Global Services Centre

It is an IT Development & Test Centre for fintech solutions and AI adoption.

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) has officially opened the renamed BEA Global Services Centre (GSC).

Formerly known as the East Asia Digital Services (GuangDong) Co. Ltd. (EADIS), GSC provides centralised support for operations and customer service of the BEA Group. It is located in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

GSC will serve as an IT Development & Test Centre with the goal of strengthening the capabilities of BEA’s business units through adoption of latest fintech solutions and AI-powered tools.

GSC’s new identity reflects BEA’s commitment to becoming a more “sustainable, digital-led, and customer-focused bank,” said Adrian Li, co-chief executive of BEA.

EADIS was originally established as a data processing center in 2022, before evolving to other roles such as a call centre.
