Maybank Bhd will open at least six branches in Sabah as part of the commitment of the nation's biggest commercial bank to stimulate the economy, says executive vice-president Mohd Hanif Suadi.

He has so far indetified Ranau, Beaufort, Donggongon and Kota Marudu as the prospective locations for the new branches, according to Bernama.

Opening branches in these areas proved Maybank's commitment to complement the government's call to activate socio-economic activities, he said at the opening of the 4th Mile Maybank branch at Kabota Square in Jalan Apas.

The 23rd Maybank branch in Sabah was opened by State Assistant Finance Minister Datuk Tawfiq Abu Bakar Titingan.
