Citi ties up with Spotify to enable music subscription via credit card points

The service will be available in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Citi has tied up with music streaming subscription service Spotify to enable its card holders to pay for music subscription using their credit card points and miles.

Cardholders in Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan can avail of this service to instantly redeem Spotify Premium subscriptions, according to a media release.


“We are delighted to be partnering with Spotify, a top streaming platform in Asia. By partnering with Spotify, we further expand our presence in digital ecosystems where our customers are active while continuing to increase the value that our credit card points and miles offer,” Sergio Zanatti, head of cards & unsecured loans for Citi in Asia Pacific said in a statement.

Citi Pay with Points has earlier forged partnerships with Grab, Lazada, Expedia, Shell, Jetstar, Thai Airways and Starbucks in nine Asia Pacific markets.
