Krungthai Bank unveils PromptFund for 24/7 real-time mutual fund trading

Investors will be able to view real-time trading prices before transactions.

Krungthai Bank has launched PromptFund, a real-time mutual fund trading service powered by blockchain technology.

PromptFund enables customers to buy and sell mutual funds 24/7, including weekends, the Thailand-based bank said in a statement in September 2026.

Investors receive cash immediately upon redemption, whilst fund purchases result in immediate allocation of investment units. This eliminates the traditional waiting period of one or several days, Krungthai Bank said.

Investors will be able to view real-time trading prices before executing transactions, the bank said.

Krungthai Bank believes that PromptFund lays the groundwork for future innovations in digital investments and digital assets by enhancing mutual fund trading efficiency, strengthening transparency, and improving investor confidence.
