Mastercard rolls out AI assistant to remind cardholders of benefits

Citi is exploring opportunities to bring the AI assistant to its Singapore and Hong Kong customers.

Mastercard has launched Mastercard Max, an artificial intelligence (AI) powered assistant to card issuers.

Mastercard Max assists cardholders in finding relevant benefits and understanding how to use them, such as offering a list of travel benefits as they book travel or giving a reminder about an airport lounge or Fast Track services that are available to them.

Card issuers can embed it directly into their digital channels, Mastercard said.

Brazil’s C6 Bank is amongst the first to adopt the service, with SNB Group, Nedbank, I&M Bank, and Attijariwafa Bank currently working to offer the AI assistant as well, according to Mastercard.

Citi is exploring opportunities to bring the assistant to its Singapore and Hong Kong customers, the card network company said.
