VietinBank’s Laos branch to sign $20M credit contract with telco netwrok

VietinBank’s Laos worked with Unitel on detailed agreements to prepare for signing a credit contract worth $20 million.

 

As soon as VietinBank established its branch in Laos, VietinBank Lao branch signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Unitel whereby Unitel will become strategic customer of VietinBank in Laos.

Unitel has covered all 17 provinces of Laos, is a telecommunications network throughout Laos. In addition, branch system of Unitel has also covered the whole of Laos. To date, Unitel has nearly 3,000 Base Transceiver Station  throughout the territory of Laos.

Since the opening day so far, VietinBank Lao branch has gained relatively stable transactions and created relationships with a number of business customers in Vientiane.

Unitel is a joint venture between two leading telecommunication firms of Vietnam and Laos namely Lao – Asia Telecom directly under the Defence Ministry of Laos and Viettel Global Investment Joint Stock Co directly under Vietnam Military Telecommunication Group.
