BNY names Ashvin Parkash as head of global markets trading for APAC

Parkash joins from Nomura and brings 25 years of industry experience to the role.

BNY has appointed Ashvin Parkash as head of global markets trading for Asia Pacific.

Parkash is tasked with accelerating BNY’s global markets trading services to clients across the region.

Parkash joins from Nomura, where he was responsible for electronic distribution across fixed income and FX.

He brings 25 years of industry experience. He has held leadership roles in Nomura, BNP Paribas, Citibank, and the Lehman Brothers.

Parkash will be based in Singapore.

He reports to Jason Vitale, head of global markets trading; and Nelius De Groot, head of markets international.
