Indonesian and French central banks ink MOU on central banking cooperation

They will hold policy dialogues, joint studies or research, and data and information exchange.

The Bank Indonesia and Banque de France are strengthening their bilateral cooperation in the field of central banking.

The scope of cooperation also covers digital innovation in payment systems, sustainable finance, and climate-related financial risks.

It also covers regulatory and supervisory frameworks, particularly in the context of Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism, and Countering the Financing of the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction (AML/CFT/CPF).

This cooperation will be implemented through various initiatives such as policy dialogues on strategic issues, knowledge-sharing and joint studies or research, capacity-building programs, and the exchange of data and information.

BI Governor Perry Warjiyo and BdF Governor François Villeroy de Galhau inked a memorandum of understanding meant to strengthen institutional ties between the two central banks.
