VietinBank to join toll collection at Tan Son Nhat Airport

Vietinbank signed a cooperation contract to jointly launch automatic toll collection service at non-stop toll station at Tan Son Nhat Airport, HCM City.

 

The installation of automatic toll collection equipments will be completed and put into use in August 2011. To make the automatic charging, the vehicles are required to mount On Board Unit and have an account at VietinBank-CTG. When going through toll booth, the money will be deducted in the account equivalent to one turn fee crossing the station.

Phan Le Hoan, director of Tan Son Nhat Terminal Operation Centre, said each day about 9,000 cars goes in and out at the airport. At peak hours there are still traffic jams at the exit because of a large volume of vehicles, long process in returning money to clients. Therefore, the application of automatic toll collection will bring more conveniences to vehicle owners, such as fuel efficiency, payment without stopping cars and avoid the traffic jams.
