Hong Kong’s forex reserves reach US$281 B in Oct.

Hong Kong’s foreign currency reserve assets reached 281.7 billion U.S. dollars by the end of October, 2011, up 4.1 billion U.S. dollars compared to the end of September.

 

Thsi was revealed by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority said here on Monday.

The 281.7 billion U.S. dollars foreign currency reserve assets represent about nine times the currency in circulation or 56 percent of Hong Kong dollar M3.
