Bank Simpanan Nasional partners with Bank Rakyat Indonesia

Tie-up aimed to generate 40,000 monthly transactions on money transfer services to Indonesia.

Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has teamed up with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) to offer money transfer services to Indonesia.

With this new service, BSN expected to see about 40,000 transactions per month, the bank's General Manager and Chief Executive Datuk Adinan Maning told reporters after signing a memorandum of understanding on the partnership in Kuala Lumpur Wednesday.

"We hope this synergy between BSN and BRI will be further strengthened with new initiatives in future," he said.

The remittance service is available at all 380 BSN branches nationwide and is open for customers with BRI accounts.

BRI Commercial Business Director Sulaiman Arianto said the collaboration with BSN would benefit more than one million Indonesian workers in Malaysia.
