Citi names Nathan Swami as head of markets for Singapore

Smith Smithangura is retiring by the end of June 2025.

Citi has appointed Nathan Swami as head of markets for Singapore, effective 24 June 2025.

Swami will continue to serve as head of FX trading for APAC.

He has over 17 years of experience working with Citi in Singapore. He has previously been head of FX options trading, and CEO of CIBSL.

Prior to joining Citi, Swamp worked as an FX Options Trader at Lehman Brothers in London, UK.

He succeeds Smith Smithangura, who has decided to retire from Citi at the end of the month.

Smithangura has been with Citi Markets for 15 years and has held key roles including ASEAN head of investor sales, before becoming head of markets for Singapore.
