Maybank Islamic launches no-fee credit card with 14% profit rate

The card will launch in October 2026.

Malaysia Islamic Berhad has launched a Shariah-compliant credit card.

The Maybank Islamic Nadi Mastercard Credit Card-i features non-compounding charges, no annual fee, and fixed profit rate of 14% per annum, the Malaysian bank announced.

The usual profit rate on other cards is at around 18%, Maybank said.

Maybank said that cardholders will enjoy access to its card ecosystem, including exclusive benefits and over 1,000 merchant privileges.

Customers can apply for the card via the MAE app, Maybank2u, and all Maybank branches nationwide beginning October 2026.

“Nadi” means pulse in Malay, according to Maybank Islamic, and reflects the integral role that the bank plays in Malaysians’ daily financial lives.

CIMB Islamic also recently announced a no annual credit card, also launching in October.
