Which four fintech firms captured 86% of SEA funding?

Four major deals accounted for 86% of the region's $2.3b fintech funding in the first nine months of 2026.

Ant International, CRYPTO, Ajlab, and Edena Capital led financial technology (fintech) funding in Southeast Asia during the first nine months of 2026, raising a combined $2b across four investment rounds, according to Tracxn.

Ant International secured the largest deal, raising $1.2b in a Series A round in July, backed by Alibaba and Ant Group. The investment accounted for approximately 52% of the region's total fintech funding during the period.

CRYPTO followed with a $400m Series D round in July, backed by Citadel Securities.

Ajlab raised $270m in a Series C round in August, backed by SBI Group, whilst Edena Capital secured $100m in a Series D round in January, backed by Global Emerging Markets.

Together, the four deals accounted for 86% of total fintech funding, whilst the remaining $330m was distributed across 38 investment rounds.

Overall, Southeast Asian fintech companies raised $2.3b in the first nine months of 2026, up 206% from $748m in the same period last year.

The total was also 75% higher than the $1.3b raised in the first nine months of 2024, but remained 57% below the $5.3b peak recorded in 2022.

Despite the increase in funding, the number of investment rounds fell 44% to 42 from 75 in 2025. This was also 71% below the 147 rounds recorded in 2024.

The number of companies receiving funding for the first time declined 48% to 17, compared with 33 in the same period last year.

Tracxn's figures cover equity funding and exclude debt, grants, post-IPO, and initial coin offering funding.
