TISCO Q3 profit seen rising 3% on credit cost relief: UOBKH

The investment bank’s loan portfolio is expected to log a growth in Q3.

TISCO Financial Group is expected to report a higher net profit in Q3 2026, with loan portfolio expanding whilst credit costs fall.

UOB Kay Hian expects the Thailand-based bank to log a net profit of THB1.78b in Q3, up 3% year-on-year (YoY) and 1% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).

Pre-provision operating profit is expected to decrease by 11% YoY and 3% QoQ, however, said UOBKH analyst Thanawat Thangchadakorn.

The loan portfolio grew in August 2026 and is expected to expand for the whole third quarter period.

Credit costs are expected to decline in Q3 compared to the Q2 period, with UOBKH noting TISCO’s credit cost target being much lower than its reported costs in H1 2026.

“Therefore, we expect to see a reduction in credit costs in 2H26. We foresee a continuous reduction in credit costs quarter by quarter toward the end of 2026,” Thangchadakorn said.

Thangchadakorn noted management’s optimism that its current management overlay should be sufficient to absorb potential deterioration in loan quality, in the absence of “new negative surprises.”

UOBKH is positive on TISCO’s asset quality outlook, Thangchadakorn said.

TISCO is a small bank based in Thailand, making up roughly 2% of the credit market, UOBKH said. It has a strong focus on auto HP lending, which accounts for 64% of its loan book.
