Citi names Jig Patel as head of prime finance for JANA and Asia SouthB

Patel will be based in Hong Kong.

Citi has appointed Jig Patel as head of prime finance for Japan, Asia North, Australia (JANA) and Asia South.

Patel, who will be based in Hong Kong, is tasked with the ongoing development of Citi’s prime finance offering in JANA and Asia South.

He will also be in charge for prime product, stock borrow and lending, synthetic prime brokerage, funding trading, and in business risk, and oversight of the client executive function.

Patel reports to Robert Stewart, head of equity trading for JANA and Asia South and global heads of Prime Services, Sebastien Mailleux and Tim Tomalin-Reeves.

He spent almost 30 years at Goldman Sachs. He was most recently at Millenium.
