UOB–JTC deal aims to draw more firms into Singapore’s industrial hubs

Taiwan’s FIC Global, Inc. is amongst the first companies referred through the partnership.

United Overseas Bank (UOB) and JTC Corporation have signed a partnership agreement to support the expansion of Singapore’s industrial ecosystems.

Under the arrangement, formalised on 31 July 2026 during the ASEAN Conference, UOB will refer businesses seeking to establish or grow operations in Singapore to JTC as potential tenants, whilst JTC will link the bank to companies, institutions and trade partners across its industrial estates.

Taiwan‑listed FIC Global, Inc., which specialises in artificial intelligence solutions and advanced electronics design manufacturing, is amongst the first firms referred through the partnership. The company plans to set up facilities at Woodlands North Coast and Woodlands Gateway.

Both organisations will provide financial and operational support to participating firms. This includes access to JTC industrial sites, network introductions, credit facilities, sustainable financing, foreign direct investment advice, and SME supply chain financing programmes.

UOB’s innovation hub, UOB FinLab, will run business capability and digital transformation programmes focused on artificial intelligence, technology adoption, and sustainability.

JTC will provide access to venues across Punggol Digital District and other estates to host these events.

The agreement commits the partners to holding at least two annual workshops or masterclasses, each aiming to attract a minimum of 30 participants, with at least half drawn from JTC tenants or anchor institutions.

JTC will also use its Industry Connect platform to link businesses through sector-focused partnerships.

JTC Assistant Chief Executive Christine Wong said the partnership aims to help companies connect with resources that accelerate growth and regional expansion.

UOB Head of Group Wholesale Banking and Markets Frederick Chin noted that the collaboration will help international clients set up operations in Singapore and use the country as a springboard to capture business across the broader ASEAN region.
