Citi to provide custody and fund services to Fubon’s latest Hong Kong ETF

The bank works with over 40 ETF issuers covering 500 ETFs in APAC.

Citi Securities Services will provide custody and fund services to Fubon Fund Management (Hong Kong)’s latest ETF.

The Fubon ICE FactSet Asia Battery and Energy Storage Technology Index ETF had just been listed in Hong Kong (3405 HK). Its listing is part of Fubon’s commitment to achieve carbo net-zero targets by 2050, with a focus on electric vehicle batteries and energy storage.

Citi will provide custody, fund account and administration, ETF processing, and registrar services to the ETF. The bank will also act as the ETF OFC custodian.

Citi is the first bank to provide OFC custodian, fund administration, and ETF services to ETFs since the OFC regime was launched by the Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission in July 2018, the bank said in a press release. The bank now works with over 40 ETF issuers, covering approximately 500 ETFs in the APAC region.
