MAS names Jacqueline Loh principal advisor to the MD office
Loo Siew Yee will succeed Loh as deputy managing director.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has appointed deputy managing director Jacqueline Loh as principal advisor to managing director Chia Der Jiun, effective 1 November.
Loh will support the managing director’s office across various areas of risk oversight, governance and leadership development, alongside her role as chair of the board of the Singapore Payments Network.
“Jacqueline has driven efforts to strengthen MAS’ organisational capabilities across key fronts, including people and leadership development and organisational transformation,” Chia said.
Loh has served as deputy managing director for 13 years across multiple portfolios. She has served as chair of the Bank for International Settlements markets committee for six years.
Loo Siew Yee will succeed Loh as deputy managing director of corporate development and oversee corporate functions, including organisation and people development, technology, and finance, risk and currency groups.
Gillian Tan will succeed Loo as assistant managing director of policy, payments, and financial crime to oversee prudential policy, anti-money laundering, enforcement, and the supervision of payment services providers.
Thong Leng Yeng, current executive director of the anti-money laundering department, will take on the role of assistant managing director of the development and international group, overseeing MAS’ international relations.
