BOCHK and Ant International partner on cross-border payments and treasury AI
BOCHK customers can link their bank accounts and credit cards to AlipayHK.
Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) and Ant International have teamed up to explore artificial intelligence (AI) use in financial services.
BOCHK will provide Alipay+, Ant International’s unified wallet gateway, with supporting accounts and settlement banking services required for cross-border payment across Southeast Asia.
BOCHK customers can now link their bank accounts and credit cards to AlipayHK, Ant International’s Hong Kong wallet, for peer-to-peer transfers, payments, and top-ups. They also plan to launch joint campaigns in the near future.
BOCHK will also collaborate with Bettr, Ant International’s embedded finance business, to explore blockchain-based solutions. They will tailor real-time cash flow management and investment solutions for Ant International as well as jointly explore intelligent treasury solutions.
BOCHK and WorldFirst, Ant International's global account service provider, will work together to provide SMEs a suite of cross-border fund management solutions.
The two parties said that they seek to empower real-time treasury management and cross-border payments, deliver efficient and intelligent liquidity management and financial service solutions, and continuously enhance financial services for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
