Own Bank names Don Niño Santos president and CEO

He previously worked at Globe Telecom and Metrobank.

Own Bank, The Rural Bank of Cavite City, Inc., has appointed Don Niño Santos as its new president and chief executive officer, according to an announcement on 20 August 2026.

Santos previously served as Own Bank’s chief risk officer, the Philippine-based bank said.

Prior to joining Own Bank, he held senior leadership roles at Globe Telecom, and also held leadership positions at Metrobank.

In Globe, he worked on key assignments to support GCash’s governance and enterprise risk management, according to Own Bank.

Own Bank is a digital-first bank in the Philippines operating under a rural bank license. It targets micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and Overseas Filipino Workers’ families.
