Alipay+ and PPMI link up to accept international wallets on QR Ph
Alipay+ is now connected to over 10 national QR schemes.
The Philippine Payments Management, Inc. (PPMI) and Ant International have officially enabled Alipay+ on QR Ph.
Philippine merchants that accept QR Ph can now receive payments from Alipay+ partner users, according to a statement on 1 September 2026.
International consumers can just use their home e-wallets and banking apps to scan and pay directly at any QR Ph-accepting merchants across the country, it said.
PPMI and Alipay+ expects that this will enable local businesses, particularly micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to participate in cross-border commerce and benefit from the growing flow of international travelers and digital consumers.
Alipay+ is now connected to 10+ national QR schemes across Asia, Middle East and Latin America.
Alipay+ connects over 2 billion consumer accounts, over 50 mobile payment providers, over 10 national switches, and QR and NFC merchants globally across 220 markets, it said.
