DBS names Blackstone chairman Gautam Banerjee to group and bank boards
Banerjee spent 30 years with PwC and services in the boards of Singtel and GIC.
DBS Group Holdings has appointed Gautam Banerjee to the boards of DBS Group Holdings and DBS Bank, effective 1 October 2026.
Banerjee is chairman and senior managing director of Blackstone Singapore. He also serves on the boards of Singapore Telecommunications and GIC Private Limited.
Banerjee spent over 30 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), including nine years as executive chairman of PwC Singapore, before retiring in December 2012.
His previous appointments include directorships of Singapore Airlines, Piramal Enterprises and Defence Science and Technology Agency, as well as the chairmanship of Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise.
DBS Chairman Peter Seah welcomed Banerjee to the DBS boards, saying that Banerjee has a deep expertise in governance, risk oversight, and long-term value creation.
