Bangkok Bank and Permata Bank create Thai-Indonesia business platform
Companies can connect with local partners to expand their businesses.
Bangkok Bank and Permata Bank said they are creating a platform for Thai and Indonesian entrepreneurs to collaborate in business as well as promote trade and investment between Thailand and Indonesia.
The platform offers local experts to provide business and investment advice, identify trading partners, and offer financial services to the businesses, Bangkok Bank said in a statement on 7 October 2026.
Thai companies can connect with local partners through Permata Bank’s network. This is expected to grant them knowledge of the local market and access to business partners.
Indonesian companies are expected to cooperate with Thai companies to access manufacturing knowledge, expand their businesses in new fields, and connect with a wider business network in ASEAN, according to Chartsiri Sophonpanich, president of Bangkok Bank.
“The benefits of the collaboration are not limited to the company level, it can also help promote the diversification of the supplier base and customer base of the business sector, increase investment between the two countries, create growth in financial demand and help support local employment,” Sophonpanich said.
