RCBC appoints Cathay risk veteran Hua-Sheng Yang as director
Yang will join RCBC’s related party transactions committee.
Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has appointed Hua-Sheng Yang as director, effective 1 September 2026.
Yang is the senior vice president of the risk management division 1 of Cathay, where he worked for 19 years, according to a bourse filing by RCBC.
In Cathay, he oversees financial risk, geopolitical risk management, and asset-liability management strategy development. He also worked on risk modeling, mergers and acquisitions evaluations, and corporate credit analysis.
Yang will be a member of RCBC’s related party transactions committee, advisor to the corporate governance and nominations committee, advisor to the audit and compliance committee, and observer to the risk oversight committee.
Prior to joining Cathay, Yang previously worked as a financial engineer at Sifeon and G5 Capital Management, Ltd.
Yang fills in the vacancy from Shih Chiao Lin’s resignation, which took effect on 25 August 2026.
