UnionPay rolls out products on the Way4 platform

UPI eyes more integrations in the near future.

UnionPay International (UPI) has teamed up with digital software platform OpenWay to support UPI products on the Way4 platform.

Way4 is OpenWay’s digital payment software platform that is used by banks, processors, and fintechs to run card issuing, acquiring, switching, and digital wallet services in real-time.

Through their partnership, OpenWay clients can now issue, acquire, and tokenise UnionPay cards on Way4.

Six major banks in Central Asia now have BigPay functionality for UnionPay cards on their Way4 platform.

Additional Big Pay integrations are planned and expected to go live in the near future.
