AhaPay and DirectD to offer BNPL to Malaysian tech shoppers
Malaysia has about 7.5 million active BNPL users, according to official data.
Malaysia’s AhaPay has partnered with mobile phone and tech retailer DirectD to offer buy now pay later (BNPL) services to DirectD customers.
Shoppers can pay in up to 12 installments.
AhaPay is a BNPL solution provider and part of the fintech credit company Fingular.
Malaysia has approximately 7.5 million active BNPL users across both online and offline channels as of H2 2025, said AhaPay, based on data from the Consumer Credit Oversight Board.
Malaysia’s e-commerce market is expected to reach $37.8b in 2026, GlobalData said, in part due to the rise of integrated digital payment gateways that complement cash on delivery options.
